Our law firm takes a very individualized and experienced approach to criminal defense. Ms. Caplan has represented many large and small cases and obtained excellent results for our clients. We have many resources available to provide the most comprehensive and successful defense.

We access and provide the most up to date research and analysis of the charges and evidence alleged by the prosecution. We employ world renowned specialists, experts and investigators to consult with us on our defense strategies. These tools are essential for defending cases with informants, surveillance, and scientific evidence , including crime scene investigation and evidence collection by law enforcement, blood/dna and blood spatter, accidents, physical injuries, weapons/ballistics, hair, fiber, fingerprints, computer data, handwriting, drugs and toxicology, dui-equipment and blood alcohol readings, medical, emotional, mental health and drug/alcohol use/addiction.

We develop a personalized strategy and defense for all of our clients and remain fully accessible to them throughout the defense of their cases. We carefully consider our clients’ special circumstances, including, age, professional license (whether you have one or want to obtain one), military status, immigration status, gang, safety/protection issues, and strategise to defend and resolve cases with due care for these circumstances.

When we start working on a case, discovery and our own independent investigation of all evidence and witnesses is the most crucial phase. This provides the foundation for all negotiations, motions, and impeachment/rebuttal of the prosecution’s case, evidence and witnesses. We also meet and negotiate with law enforcement and prosecution, to carefully scrutinize the evidence and witnesses against our clients.

We look at reports, photos and other accounts of evidence collection, looking for police misconduct and errors in collecting, analyzing and interpreting evidence. We painstakingly look for constitutional violations in searches (with and without warrants), the use of informants, confessions (mirandas given and coerced) and evidence planting, as these issues are the main issues that can result in dismissal of the charges, or at least being fully prepared for trial.

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
